World Rivers and Shore Gallery

    When we first got down the escalater there was a statue of a sharks head. There were fake colorful fish swimming all around it. There was a big sign that said Newport Aquarium in its mouth. We got our picture taken with it. It was really cool. After we got our picture taken we headed into the World Rivers section. It was filled with all kinds of different fish. There was a big circular tank in the middle of the room and you walk around it in a circle. It was filled with lots of plants and flowers. Also laying around it were drums that looked like they were from Africa. It was fun to play them! There were also a lot of fish tanks around the wall behind us. We walked around the center fish tank in to the Shore Gallary. The Shore Gallary had a lot of tanks. One  with a wave pool, but the fish were not on there. There was also a desplay of a fake Sea Turtles nest. It showed the underground eggs and the baby turtles climbing out of the nest. The coolest thing in the Shore Gallary was a petting pool. In there they had sea creatures that you can pet. They had Horseshoe Crabs, Starfish and Sea Urchins. It was really fun petting the sea annimals!
